Every person has hopes and dreams, wants and desires. But why is it that some of us achieve our desires while others settle for mediocre?
Because successful people do these 3 things:
1. They write down their dreams
There is power in handwriting. You are thinking what to write and using your hand to write what you are thinking on paper. Your entire body is in unison and agreement on what you are thinking. Therefore you will retain the information easier.
2. They create goals to achieve their dreams
Your goal is the plan you will use to achieve your dream. It so easy to desire something, the hard part is figuring out what you need to do to achieve it. Your goals are tasks or action steps that help you get closer and closer to dream. Your goals MUST have a deadline to keep you on track and to keep you moving forward.
3. They educate themselves through reading
Reading helps you grow. It provides you the knowledge, tools and resources to better yourself. It brings to light your faults and weaknesses while providing you solutions on how to change.
The recurring theme in succeeding is to take action. To constantly improve yourself and achieve the goals you have set out for yourself.
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.
Thomas A. Edison
It is crazy to think that society, as a whole, will invest time and effort in a company to help that company grow all for a paycheck. Yet will not invest the same or if not more time and effort in themselves.
You are your biggest asset. You and only you have the ability to make your hopes, dreams, wants and desires come true. It starts in your mind but manifests through your action.
I challenge you to
1. Write out your dreams, all your dreams
2. Take one dream and write out your goals on how to achieve your dream. Give each goal a deadline and get to work completing it. Complete 1 task a day.
3. Read a book about something you are not good at.
For example: You may be shy, so get a book that teaches you how to start a conversation.
Take the challenge and do a little every day. You will be amazed at how much you have grown and accomplished in 30 days. If you need help staying consistent, sign up for One on One Coaching.
